Opening Casa Romantica's Centennial Gallery Season, The Gallery: The Art of the Diorama celebrates Casa Romantica's 100 Years. In this exhibition, Casa Romantica's historic grounds are reimagined through a large-scale natural history diorama created in partnership with Prey Taxidermy and the San Diego Natural History Museum. Featuring taxidermy artwork by Prey Taxidermy, a hand-painted backdrop by Fay Wyles, and a custom-built environment created by the Casa Romantica team, this immersive exhibition brings together art, science, and history in a single space.
In The Studio, Wendy Wirth honors the tradition of outdoor painting and showcases her landscape paintings of California.
ABOUT WENDY WIRTH
THE STUDIO ARTIST
Wendy Wirth is a California-based artist originally from Montreal, Canada, whose atmospheric landscape paintings are inspired by the light, color, and beauty of the West Coast. Using layered acrylic techniques and dramatic compositions rooted in the tradition of plein air painting, her work captures quiet moments and changing light. An award-winning artist, she has exhibited at the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts since 2010.
